This is an extremeley rare find Remainder of the s
eries 1860's Canal Bank Louisiana that is rarely seen in this top notch grade.
PMG awarded this trophy note a stunning
68 SUPERB GEM UNCIRCULATED
grade.
Printed by National Bank Note Co around 1860, the lovely red and black note has an eagle on a federal shield and always popular with collectors.
This is about as nice as this note comes, with this being the only 68EPQ grade note that we have ever offered. Presently it is tied with only six other 68 EPQ notes in the PMG Population Report for the highst grade recorded.
This piece is well margined and has an exceptional paper quality.
The red tint, attractive counters, and a wonderful eagle vignette certainly add greatly to the eye appeal of this well preserved remainder.
