~ This Is one of the earliest Confederate bonds issued at Montgomery. it was authorized by an act of the CSA Congress February 28, 1861 and issued on May 1, 1861. It’s Criswell number 5. It was lithographed by Douglas Engr. New Orleans. Signed by Alexander Clitherall & Henry Dickson Capers. It’s bond number 1527.
