    1862 T-43 The Confederate States of America Note.
    This note has the same design as the T-42 note but with a "2 TWO" green overprint added by B. Duncan. The Confederacy was unwilling to pay for the extra cost of the overprint and Duncan soon dropped it.
    This note features a Vignette at the center representing the South Striking Down the North. At the upper left is a portrait of Judah P. Benjamin, a noted Jewish lawyer and states man who was Secretary of War and then State for the Confederacy.
    This Civil War era note is PMG Graded Very Fine 25 with "Foreign Substance" noted.
