    GEM CRISP UNCIRCULATED
    CIVIL WAR Currency Note, issued by the COUNTY OF TITUS at MOUNT PLEASANT, TEXAS, dated January 4, 1865.
    Fancy typeset flourishes and denomination. Printed on very thin almost tissue-like paper by The Bulletin, Jefferson, Texas (newspaper printing office). Back is blank as issued.
    It reads:
    "
    THIS WARRANT IS CONSTITUTIONAL CURRENCY.
    THE COUNTY OF TITUS Will pay the Bearer TEN DOLLARS, At the Office of the County Treasurer."
    Hand dated January 4th, 1865 and hand signed by J.H. King, County Treasurer, and J. Cherry, Chief Justice of Titus County. The note is the highest denomination and rarest note of this series!
