Up for your consideration is an 1870 Bank of Martinique 5 Francs Unused Check / Cheque. Very Rare! Shipped This Banknote was part of the collection of the World Renowned Scientist, Abelardo Saenz M.D. Doctor Saenz was the Ambassador From Uruguay to France, and a leading Bacteriologist of his day, previously serving as the Director of the Institut Pasteur (The Pasteur Institute) in París. My Grandparents were friends with the Saenz family. This has been a beloved family treasure and now it is time to share it with you. Enjoy!

CONDITION
I’m not a coin or banknote dealer or expert by any means. I have compared like notes on the www and I estimate this as “Fine” with a single fold in the Middle. The paper is clean and crisp with only a few tiny spots here and there, and the printing is bright and centered. My camera flash washes out the colors a little, they are brighter and more colorful than in the photos attached to this auction listing.
