In 2009 the demand for additional coins was very low. Therefore, the United States Treasury curtailed production at the Mint facilities. The 2009-D dime's mintage is 49,500,000 coins and this includes the coins that were made with the satin finish for the Mint's annual sets. This roll is composed of standard finish, business strike coins and was acquired from a federal reserve bank soon after production and has been stored to keep it "U.S. Mint fresh." The "head to tail" roll pictured is the one being offered. Thank you for looking.
