Description
This is an extremely rare high grade note that rarely seen in uncirculated condition, and very desirable eye catching Hartford, Connecticut- Hannum's Hartford Business college/ Business College Bank August of 1877
This school was founded around 1877, with T.W. Hannum and E.H. Morse serving as principals and Proprietors. The school was located at 370 Asylum Street and had five faculties and around 350 students enrolled circa 1895. This note has several vignettes reminiscent of thoseappearing on federal notes and mimics national bank notes by having a large red 1184 "charter number" and a red seal containing the connecticut coat of arms. Charter 1184 belonged to the New Britain National Bank of New Britain, Connecticut. This is a lovely note with a green overall tint and green decorative back.
