Excellent condition! The thread tolerances are so that it actually screws into a 54mm thread just fine, which is what series 7 threads are. So the filter holder (black part) will screw into the front of the retaining ring (silver part) and vice versa, though the threads on the filter holder actually are 0.5mm wider. So it really is a 54.5mm adapter but would work on a 54mm thread just fine.
