    My dad had written down that this plate was “new old stock”.
    Got this from another listing:
    Alaska License Plate 1973 never issued plate, the Governor didnt like the stars on the flag
    so a few thousand were all that was ever printed, but not one was issued
    so this is a mint plate, never used or issued, a misprint in a way
    wonderful collectible item!
