Item:
Antique Chinese Wood WEDDING BASKET with Carved & Painted Handle.
The basket is round to slightly oblong with metal banding and hardware.  The carved handle features fish and flowers.  The carving was once painted and gilded but the finish has worn away over the years.  The finish appears to be original and this basket dates from the 19th century.  This piece has lovely patina and is in good vintage condition.
There is wear to the wood, finish and metal hardware consistent with age/use.   See photos for detailed description and condition.  I do my best to show any flaws and/or markings as this item is previously owned.  Many of the items I offer are from estate sales and auctions.  Please contact me with any questions.

Basket is ~ 12" high x 13" wide.
