COLT M7 (62316) w/ M8A1 Scabbard-Unissued (USA) 1963-64 (Viet Nam Era)

Description

Never issued, never sharpened, never carried, never displayed, etc.  Original factory edge is intact.  M7 and sheath both have some dirt, grime, grease, etc., from long term military depot storage.  Please study the photos carefully.  They are an important part of the listing.  The photos are the exact item you will receive.
Colt only made 30,000 of these in 1963-64.  That was when Colt made them, before the first M7 Government contract was awarded,
Blade stamped:  "Colt's 62316, Hartford, Conn USA" Has "Rampant Colt" stamp also
These were used on rifles and on combat shotguns
Crosspiece marked: "U.S. M7"
Scabbard marked: "U.S. M8A1"
Blade is parkerized
Handle is textured and rubberized
Correct Colt OEM "crinkle finish" M8A1 scabbard.
