Cook Island Black Lip Mother of Pearl & Genuine Black Tahitian Pearl Necklace
My neighbor runs a small shipping company that takes products from Honolulu to the Cook Islands are surrounding areas. This necklace was brought back from one of his trips. It is made from carved black lip mother of pearl, one genuine black Tahitian tear drop shaped pearl, and white braided cord. The nacre on the pearl is really quite shiny and brilliant. Second photo is the best representation of it's color and glow. The other photos make it look dull and it's not. One side of the pearl has a blemish on the surface. White corded part is approximately 17 inches.
The necklace is in great condition with the exception to some age related discoloration on the interior of the corded necklace. This does not show when worn.
