Dog Weimaraner Pointer, 1870s Antique Engraving Print & Breed Description

You are bidding on a very rare original antique engraving from an 1870s French illustrated journal.
It depicts a Weimaraner dog, as it looked long ago (foundation breed called the Fawn Pointer). Below him is information on the breed standard.
The caption reads:  Le Pointer Fauve
which roughly translates to: Le Pointer Fauve
It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture area is about
7.5 x 5.5 inches (19 x 14 cm), with a French caption below and text surrounding it. The text could easily be trimmed before framing, or hidden under a window mat.
The page is in excellent condition for its age.
