    Wilder's Patent (June 1, 1843)
    this came off a very early Herring Salamander safe that was otherwise beyond repair
    my research suggests that this is the earliest and RAREST Herring plaque
    you will find the later ones with Herring's patent (1852) but there are, and have not been, any like this offered for sale
    8-1/2" X 6"
    unbroken, some residual paint remains from where the safe was painted over (i will leave it up to the buyer to clean)
