Fine Antique Vintage Japanese IKEBANA Woven Handle Asian BASKET w/ insert

This is a beautiful hand made VINTAGE OLD VINTAGE IKEBANA BASKET, TALL VASE FLOWER ARRANGER WITH LINER FROM A THREE GENERATION ESTATE that I am currently liquidating. I believe it to be Japanese, but leave it to the experts on eBay. It's in beautiful, condition - held atop a curio cabinet (no sun) for many, many years. The coloration is classic and workmanship is exquisite. The weave is gorgeous - and varied in style on the handle attachments, base/leg accents and body of the weave - a very skilled artisan created this basket! The most unique aspect of this is the inset which is solid piece of bamboo wood (usually porcelain or plastic, so, it is quite rare to see bamboo to hold water). Impeccable attention to detail. Large tall accent handle. Here are the approximate measurements: 3 1/4" Wide and 15 7/8" Tall to top of handle... - a substantial piece!! A beautiful piece of art - authentic Japanese Ikebana baskets are rare and hard to find. Perfect for your home, office, collection or extravagant gift to someone very, very special!
