    Description

This is another commando knife that we picked up at an estate sale here in Los Angeles, a locally made piece here in Los Angeles, catalogued by its deceased seller as "by JBD, 1971," though there are no markings on the knife itself I can see.  If you know who JBD is please drop us a line and let us know;  we will add that info to this ad.
It's 9-7/8" long overall with a 5.25" blade that was expertly sculpted to lethal perfection with one of the sharpest and sturdiest blades you'll ever see in such a piece.  Blade is carbon steel of the highest quality, forged with a full and hidden tang inside an equally fine, stacked leather handle, bolstered and pommeled in cast pewter.
It had no sheath when we acquired it but comes in the very ine black leather sheath shown in photos, which is also in excellent condition with no problems of any kind.
I can't find any markings on the knife but quality is quality and it is there abundantly in every detail of this knife.  A really great find on a knife that could be the centerpiece of many collections and will function just as well today as it did the day it was made.
