Description
The Guatemala 20 Quetzal banknote from 2012 is part of the 2010 - 2018 series. Its front design bears a portrait of the forefather and head of state Mariano Galvez, a stylized temple, a Mayan man with potted flower, and a flag as a registration device. The reverse side features a group of delegates signing the declaration of independence of Central America, a flag, a Mayan carving, and a Mayan man with a potted flower. The note is 156 x 67 mm in size and is equipped with a windowed security thread with demetalized BANCO DE GUATEMALA 20 to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would reflect a Mariano Galvez watermark and electrotype 20.
