India pattern 1A bayonet no scabbard for parts/resto

Description

Up for auction is a India pattern 1A bayonet. No scabbard. It is marked RFI 65. Overall condition is fair. This would make a good project piece or used for parts. 1A's are hard to come by and don't come up often. This could be a place holder as was the case when I got it. There is no scabbard. A No 5 scabbard is almost 2 inches too short. The metal is pitted all over and blade was sharpened sometime in the past. The metal was cold blued to present better. Grips and screws are correct replacements. Screws are longer than 1907's. The latch was stuck but I freed it up so it operates correctly. The retainer screw in pommel is stuck.
Again a hard to find item.
