Marble's Jet Pilot Survival Knife with a bright finish 6" blade and early 1960th "13 Rivet" Military issue leather scabbard with honing stone. Marble's expected to get the contract for 30,000 of these knives from the U.S. military after submitting the design and samples to the U. S. government. Marble's decided to continue production of this Military spec'd knife for sale to the civilian market and made them up to 1963. Many of the 1959-1960 original production era knives actually wound up in Vietnam... brought into the country as private purchase fighting knives. This early examples is un-used and comes with it's original box. The leather leg tie down cord is still found stored in the belt loop. There is some staining on the knife and scabbard from vert de gris.
