Original SOG Fighting Knife Vietnam War 1969 Special Forces Not A Commemorative

I purchased this Original SOG fighting Knife from a Vietnam veteran that was in the mobile riverine force with the 9th infantry division. He told me he obtained the knife from another solider that became a friend in Vietnam as a gift. The knifes is condition is as seen in the photos. He said the knife had the welds at guard to blade when he was gifted it in 1969. Possibly the humidity may have made the leather handle contract and that was a solution to getting rid of any wobble but everything is nice and tight now. The knife is great shape for its age. The sheath has a light crack on leather near the tip as you can see in the photos from age and some of the thread that holds the sheath together has come out and is missing. Also included is one of his unit patches I got with the knife. I will give the name of the veteran to the buyer if they would like. This is a rare find as most of the SOG knifes you see on eBay are commemorative ones not veteran carried. Buyer pays shipping in the US with signature confirmation required. Knife measures 10.5 inches out of sheath. Blade measures 6 inches. From top of the guard to end of handle measures 4.5 inches.
Sheath measures about 11.5 inches.
