    RARE Antique PURE EAGLE WHITE LEAD PAINT Display Sign ~Pre 1906 Cincinnati Ohio
    This is an EXTREMELY SCARCE piece of American Manufacturer History. I'm not sure there is another one like this in the world because finding Advertising pieces from this company is extremely hard. It is almost impossible to find original Eagle White Lead advertising. I believe this piece to be a store display sign due to the back of the sign which previously had a cardboard piece in the center for it to stand up on a countertop to promote their paint products. This is a thick cardboard stock that measures approximately 28" inches wide and 22" inches tall. This sign has wonderful color and graphics. It does have some standard wear due to the age and long storage. This would be a wonderful sign to display for the collector who enjoys collecting Antique Original Rare Signs.
    I am dating this piece (Pre 1906 and Post 1850) for the following reason:
    The company started in 1842 as the White Lead Company in Cincinnati Ohio. It later became Eagle White Lead Works in the 1850's. A merger with the Picher Lead Company of Joplin, Missouri occurred in 1906, becoming Eagle-Picher Lead which evolved into Eagle-Picher Industries, Inc., and finally Eagle Picher Technologies.
