These Ray Robinson Boxing Gloves are a must-have for any Sugar Ray fan. The gloves  come with a story of their own. The gloves come from my Uncles "Jack Thompson"  Boxing Collection.
Sugar Ray Robinson KO'd Andy Nonella to win the 1940 Golden Gloves Tournament.
Robinson's amateur record is usually listed as 85-0 with 69 knockouts, 40 in the first round. However, he lost to Billy Graham and Patsy Pesca under his given name, Walker Smith Jr.
Won the 1938 New York Metropolitan AAU Open Championship at bantamweight. Won New York Golden Gloves Titles in 1939 as a featherweight and Won 1940
