    Jones was Ring Magazine's "Fighter of the Year" in 1994 and was voted the "Fighter of the Decade" in 1999 by the Boxing Writers Association of America. Pound for pound, there is no doubt that Roy Jones Jr. was one of the best boxers in history. He entered professional boxing in 1989 in the middleweight divison. In 1993, he won his first IBF title in the middleweight category and has since won numerous fights and titles on his journey through the weight classes.
