T-40 1862 0 Confederate Currency, Civil War Train Note CSA Watermark
This is an authentic Confederate States of America 0 note dated October 2, 1862 at Richmond, Virginia. This is a T-40 variation featuring a train (with diffused steam)
and a maid carrying a bucket of milk, along with handwritten number, date and signatures. The back of the note has three cancellation stamps noting interest was paid the first of the years of 1863 (Augusta) and 1864 and 1865 (Raleigh, N.C.). The "CSA" watermark is still visible with the "C" and part of the "S" showing on each of the left and right sides.
