This stunningly beautiful note is an updated, general issue of the prior issued as a commemorative note one year prior, which was honored as the Banknote of the Year by the International Bank Note Society (IBNS) in 2014. The 2014 note was the first ever polymer issued by Trinidad & Tobago. It's common to trial new security features or substrates as a commemorative note before a general issue. The success of the 2014 note led to this 2015 issue, and the combined success of these new polymer notes led to a new series entirely on polymer (as opposed to cotton paper), beginning in 2019.
Condition
Crisp UNC uncirculated condition.
Many modern notes have a security thread that may show some bubbling, or a dimple, at the top of the note at the strip. In the printing process, when the notes are run through high speed counters, a dimple is created where the strip is on the top of the note. This does not disqualify the note as UNC.

Front:  Trinidad & Tobago coat of arms; red hibiscus flower; gold-to-green SPARK Orbital hibiscus flower; red-capped cardinal bird in flight.
Back:
Red-capped cardinal bird (transparent mirror image from front); Eric Williams Towers (incl. Central Bank) in Port of Spain and a female Carnival dancer in full costume.
