    Description

    A Criswell Type 46 note - Ten Dollars () The Confederate States of America - September 2nd, 1862 - S/N 51800.
    Center features Ceres, the Goddess of Agriculture, sitting on a barrel leaning on a bale of cotton.  Lower right is R.M.T. Hunter, who was Secretary of State in 1861.  Signing for Register was W(illiam) Rothrock and for Treasurer was H(arrel) H. Goodloe.
    The note has been cut-cancelled (CC).  There are a few pinholes and wrinking along the bottom.
