US Army Vietnam Camillus 1973 MIL-K Pocket Knife Named

Auction for vintage Vietnam War US Army all steel pocket knife marked Camillus, 1973. Damage noted to knife explained below.
Each knife has a story. Doubtless this knife traveled the world and without talking to the original owner we are left to speculate on it's journey how it got in it's current condition.
1. US Army Camillus Pocket Knife dated 1973. Steel knife is approximately 4" closed and 6" open. Marked Camillus 1973 on blade. Other side of blade has name Parry Barnes engraved in script. Opener and screwdriver work. Damage to spine with metal piece broken out. It is present as shown in the photos. When metal removed main blade moves freely. Should be repairable by a skilled knife maker, however, some individuals believe it can't be repaired. They also cautioned never open both blades at the same time due to tension.
Pocket knife shows wear/tear associated with age. This includes use on blade, metal piece broken off back but present, engraved name, wear on blade. There may be other minor age related defects.
