Here is a Vietnam Era Sword Scabbard measuring 30.75" overall with a mouthpiece width of .750" and .250" mouthpiece thickness.  Scabbard is dent free showing some age patina, wear, light small rust spots on the back center area, and some scratches on the chape and locket.  The locket and chape are on tight and do not wiggle. The back of the locket is marked," MICHAEL F. MCALLISTER/ARNOLD AIR SOCIETY/ OUTSTANDING AREA COMMANDER/ 1972-73.
The Arnold Air Society is a professional, honorary, service organization.  AAS is open to officer candidates in Air Force Reserve
Officer training Corps and at the USAF academy, and is formally affiliated with the Air Force Association. Their motto is, "The Warrior who cultivates his mind polishes his arms". A nice vintage piece, scabbard only, no sword.
