    Description

Rather scarce early Vietnam War square tip bolo knife made for U.S. Special Forces in Vietnam. Thick chisel edge blade is signed similar to a Japanese sword tang. Some sources state this version was made in japan and the fore runner to the later and more plan CISCO one issued to Roadrunners and other SOG personnel. I would be pleased to revise the listing if anyone can translate the characters stamped into the blade. Knife blade measures 7" in length, with overall length including the grip 12.75". Blade is very nice with a couple of very minor nicks to edge that can be felt rather than seen. Original leather sheath is also in very good condition, excepting the leather retaining strap which is broke at the fastener as shown.
