Early Vietnam Era US Navy USN Jet Pilots Survival Knife & Original Scabbard - Blade Marked: MILPAR - Excellent Condition - RARE
Up for sale is a Vietnam Era US Navy USN Jet Pilots Survival Knife.  This is the 2nd type of this knife made by MILPAR.  It has a 5" blade with a 9 1/2" overall length.  This is an early Blade Marked: MILPAR.
The blade has no rust or pitting.  The guard and pommel are both tight.  The  leather handle is nice, no cuts or breaks.  The leather is soft and supple.  Original Leather Scabbard, with a sharpening stone.  The leather is soft and supple.  There are contract markings on the rear of the scabbard, contract date is no longer legible.  The scabbard has a field modification.  An aluminum reinforcing tip has been added to the scabbard.  This set is used, please see photo's for condition.  The leather is soft and supple.  MILPAR did not make large quantities of these knives.  Today MILPAR marked knife are RARE and sought after by collectors.
