Vietnam War US ARMY Survival Fighting Knife Camillus Pre '71 Collectible has a knife that is about 9 3/8 x 2 1/4 x 1 inches and weighs about 250.8 grams or 8.846 ounces. Total weight with the leather sheath and sharpening stone is about 12.0 ounces. It is in excellent condition except for the scratches on the blade where it was sharpened. See photos. There are nylon cords used to attach the knife in the explanation that follows.
This knife comes from the estate of my brother who served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam with the US Army 1970-71. I have a plaque he received from the same time period which he received in appreciation for his service from The 358 Aviation Division. I know he wore this knife and sheath as an Army Sergeant in Vietnam. He told me the green nylon cords were for strapping the knife to his boot where it was hidden.
