    Description

    VIETNAN AIRCREWSURVIVAL KNIFE,1960s/1970s
This is an exact copy of the Camillus pilot’s survival knife that was sold in Vietnam to American air crews in the 1960’s & 1970s.                                                                They were available for private purchase for aircrew members who were not eligible to be issued one & were sold in Viet Nan & Thailand. They were very popular with non pilot aircrews in the Air Force & Army.
The knife is 9 ¼” long with a 7 7/8” blade stamped Japan.
The hand made brown leather scabbard is made of thick water buffalo hide with a pair of lines of flat hide strips as decoration & has a 4 1/8” long belt loop on the back.
It is in good used condition with light pitting on the dully shiny blade & the leather grip shows some ware but is complete & in good+
condition with a dark brown patina.
The scabbard is in good + condition.
