VINTAGE PETRIFIED WOOD RING; STERLING SILVER? ; OVAL STONE

Description

Vintage Petrified Wood Ring.  Beautiful Oval Stone - 7/16 inch by 1 1/8 inch.  Believed to be Sterling Silver - it was tarnished and I polished it with a jewelry cloth.  It may need more cleaning.  I don't know the history of this ring.  I didn't remember I had it.  My mother-in-law (now deceased) gave it to me many years ago and I wrote on the box lid - 1949 petrified wood.  I don't know the size or weather it can be sized.  a piece of paper around the inside of the ring measures 2 inches.  It was hard to get a good picture.  It is prettier in person than what it shows.  Thank you for looking!
