Vintage Rajasthani Brass Bangle Makara 7" Hand Size (#8358)

Description

Vintage Rajasthani brass bangle with makara. The makara is an old old symbol used on jewelry from many regions of South Asia. This has an inner circumference of 7" - it needs to slide over your hand and onto your wrist in order to fit. Your hand can be no larger than 7" around as a result. The brass is oxidized and a dark tone. The metal is worn and rounded with age and use. There are a series of diamond-shape patterns - perhaps in reference to snakeskin - I am not certain. This is solid brass - not a lightweight reproduction.
