Vintage Vietnam Era Pilot's Survival Knife Stamped Juling - Japan

Recent purchase from the estate sale of a WWII veteran who fought in the Pacific theater is this: Vietnam Era Pilots Survival Combat Knife with leather handle and steel butt plate. The blade is somewhat readable and appears to be JULING - JAPAN.  The knife measures 10 1/2" in overall length and has been sharpened several times. The family said he took this off a pilot who crashed his plane into the veteran's aircraft carrier which we have found out today was a lie. With the help of a collector we were able correctly identify this as a Vietnam Era knife that was sold in the military PX we were told.   It still a nice pilot's knife that should make a great additon for someone's collection. Hope this amendment doesn't cause any confusion. We'd rather get it right than have a disappointed buyer........
