Vintage Vietnam Pilot Survival Knife
(Camillus 5-1967)
Complete with original leather Norton Pike sharpening stone.
Although originally issued as a survival item, it always seemed to me that the best way to survive my tour was to NOT get shot down.  In retrospect, neither perspective offered anything more than a false sense of security.  Regardless, I came home mostly intact, and this item spent the passing years in a shoe box shuffled from closet to closet.  Having found it again during my last move, I also found that the memories it brought back for me were far from the fond kind.
I thought best to pass it on to someone else who might give it a fresh start.  A new life.
Something unburdened by my own emotional baggage.  Heck, that's not the knife's fault.
Before you ask; the pics are real.  This is a seriously nice find.  No rust, no dings, no rot.
Maybe you lost yours somewhere along the way.  Maybe you've always just wanted one.
